I ran a UniFirst service location in Winooski from 2019 to Sep 2026, with full P&L accountability for a multimillion-dollar operation. Before that I was District Service Manager for the route service operation, 2014 to 2019. Retention held at 97%+. Expired agreements moved from about 20% to about 3%. Sales quota ran 100-120% of plan, and profit performance ran 100-115% of goal every year of the location tenure.
Retail and project work came first. From December 2009 to July 2011 I managed a Vitamin World store: sales, staffing, inventory, merchandising, loss prevention, and store P&L. At G.W.S., September 2011 to July 2014, I ran projects and marketing from plan through execution. Marketing and promotional work increased new business by 20%. Integrated projects returned more than 40%.
I played varsity football at Castleton, completed a B.S. in Business Administration, finished an Associate's Degree in Sports Administration, and later earned an MBA in Business / IT Management from Champlain College.
Outside of work, I am a husband and father. My family is the reason I care about building things that last: strong teams, clear standards, honest communication, and work that supports the life people are trying to build. That carries into how I lead: family-oriented, team-oriented, accountable, and focused on doing the right thing even when the work is difficult.
I hired and coached route and office staff, set coverage and productivity standards, sold add-on service with the sales team, and kept routes running through shortages.
From February 2019 to September 2026 I was Location Manager with full P&L on a multimillion-dollar Vermont operation: service delivery, customer experience, sales support, logistics, warehouse, fleet, safety, compliance, staffing, budgeting, and employee development.
Sales quota ran 100-120% of plan. Profit performance ran 100-115% of goal every year. Retention held at 97% or better. I earned 2x UniFirst President's Club recognition. Aged accounts receivable moved from about 23% to about 5% through structured follow-up and tighter financial control. A sales representative I coached later earned President's Club recognition 3x.
After COVID, expired agreements were about 20% of the book. Renewal ownership and review cadence took that down to about 3%. I led a facility renovation without dropping service, and covered neighboring units through staffing gaps, production limits, and leadership changes.
Since September 2026 I have been Senior Business Consultant at Maverick Business Works in Burlington. The work is operations, marketing, customer experience, offer design, website structure, contact paths, scorecards, and practical process improvement.
"I build operating rhythm around the numbers that show whether the business is healthy: retention, renewal control, revenue, profit, A/R, route performance, and team execution."
